Valerie Pallotta and her family lost Josh Pallotta, her only child, in 2014 after he died by suicide. He served in Afghanistan in 2010, and upon returning home, he just wasn’t the same, his mom says. He lost two of his friends in combat and struggled with PTSD after returning home.
