Vermont-raised and Boston transplant Ryan Arel currently works as a Content Strategist at State Street Global Advisors, where he started in July 2023. He was formerly an associate editor at TechTarget in Newton, MA where he worked as an editor, writer and content planner for B2B data center related topics, where he worked 3 different roles over 2.5 years. He is a former intern for the Forum Network at GBH in Boston, and also interned on the GBH News Team. In addition, he is a former Arts Editor and former Opinion Editor for The Suffolk Journal, Suffolk where he worked as a writer and editor and doing pagination and managing writers, collecting 30+ bylines and writing for all sections, as well as a stint on a University police beat.
His passion is simple: creating useful, timely and relevant content to help audiences make informed decisions and build informed opinions, whether it’s an SEO-optimized article to inform a purchasing decision, a social post about candidates in an upcoming election or a video script on a timely topic. He has experience in content planning, content editing, SEO optimization through search intent and keyword research, content and news writing, social media, and some video editing.
